Highclere Thoroughbred racing, one of the most successful racing syndicates in the UK, has announced this morning their intention to enter National Hunt racing for the first time.
The Berkshire-based outfit have been a popular owner to follow within the racing tips world given their successes with horses such as Petrushka, Tamarisk and Delilah. And with the announcement that the syndicate has bought Sunwise from the John Oxx yard for £135,000 hopes will be high that they can emulate the victories in the jumps arena. The horse has been placed with Paul Nicholls and many punters will be hoping that this will be the first of many that can be followed over the winter months.
In other news, Godolphin are still waiting for their first Melbourne Cup victory after Shocking defeated Crime Scene. Although winning by just three quarters of a length, the 9/1 shot ran a very impressive race under jockey Cory Brown. Godolphin will be back next year with another tilt at the crown without doubt and will be ceratin to attract many more horse racing tips in the process.
Horse racing meetings are being held today at Catterick, Exeter and Kempton.
